Zalando is active in 25 European countries and has more than 51 million active customers. bytepark supported the client in creating a digital product to implement the requirements of the Digital Services Act (DSA)

Project overview

bytepark was responsible for implementing a tool for reporting illegal content for Zalando, taking into account the requirements of the European Digital Services Act which, in addition to Zalando, affects 17 other companies in Germany,including Amazon, Apple, Facebook, Google, Instagram and LinkedIn.

Technical concept and implementation

The technical solution for Zalando was developed and rolled out in just three weeks in an agile environment for all of the client's European marketplaces. As part of the process, the product was connected to both the Zalando data platform and the email infrastructure. Technically, the application was designed for roll-out in 20 languages, but modular extensions are possible. Security and penetration tests were also carried out to safeguard the system.
