Navigation and interaction concepts for user interfaces

User interface design (sometimes also called interface design only) is design development of user interfaces via which users interact with the technical system. User interface design is typically needed for interactive web applications and web-based applications. User interface design must crucially consider the users' needs, wishes and abilities on the basis of usability tests. These then form the basis for developing the appropriate user interface design or graphical user interface (GUI) in order to achieve optimum user-friendliness.
