Flash animations
Flash animations enable the presentation of multimedia and interactive animations within Adobe Flash Player, a plug-in that is available in many browsers. Flash animations are implemented in the development environment of Adobe and subsequently compiled as a Flash Player compatible file format. Flash animations are often used as intros for websites, animated web banners (also called Flash banners) or integrated video players. However, since the introduction of ActionScript 3.0, it has also been possible to implement more complex Flash animations within the scope of complete XML or repository-based applications. Flash animations can also be easily used on websites together with HTML/CSS (so-called hybrid websites).
