Berlin Sportmetropole
Description
bytepark performed the technical implementation of the Berlin Sports Metropolis platform as a joint forum of top teams from Berlin, i.e., Hertha BSC, EHC Eisbären, ALBA, Füchse and SCC Berlin Volleyball, as well as the city's top arenas, i.e., the Olympic Stadium, O2 World, Max-Schmeling-Halle and Velodrom. TOP Sportmarketing Berlin GmbH was in charge of overall project management, whilst Fuenfwerken Design AG created the design.
The platform was implemented on the basis of an open-source content management system (CMS). With a number of add-ons, the platform was customized and configured so that it can be maintained by the editorial team. Besides a news system, an event module with a connection to a ticket shop was also integrated.
